Int’l E-Conference on Rehabilitation Sciences held at Riphah

The 3rd International Conference on Rehabilitation Sciences, a 3D E-Conference, Virtual event, was held from 27th till 30th of May by Riphah International University.

The chief guest for the inaugural session was Provincial Minister for Higher Education Punjab, Raja Yassir Humayun Sarfaraz and the Guest of Honor was Dr. Shaista Sohail, Executive Director, Higher Education Commission.

This mega event was attended by more than 1500 Rehabilitation professionals across the globe and eminent keynote speakers from the USA, Australia, Canada, Sweden, New Zealand, UK, Iran, Norway, Denmark, Ireland, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan threw light on the key areas of evidence-based research in rehabilitation sciences.

An eminent Keynote speaker, Prof. Dr. Ola Grimsby discussed current research and clinical outcomes on the effects of high-velocity short amplitude thrust techniques on inhibition and facilitation of motor reflexes.

The interrelationship between the sensorimotor system and general motor performance in health, disease, and rehabilitation was discussed in detail by key-note Prof. Dr. Hamayun Zafar.

The renowned Keynote speaker Prof. Dr. Shane Patman explained the current practices for Rehabilitation for those with Long COVID.

Distinguished Prof. Dr. Anja Lowit highlighted the quality of life of patients with motor speech disorders and stressed upon the International Classification Model, participation and psychological impact following dysarthria, especially the patients with Parkinson’s disease.

Prof. Dr. Mohammad Reza Hadian explained the role of activity in Neurorehabilitation.
