Mr. Shahid Jawed Qureshi, President, Pakistan-Malaysia Friendship Association (PMFA) paid a courtesy call upon H.E., Mr. Ikram Mohd. Ibrahim, High Commissioner of Malaysia at the Malaysian High Commission Islamabad.
During the meeting, which lasted for one and half hours, matters of bilateral interest came under discussion, with special reference to the scope and potential for further consolidating relations in the broad areas of trade, commerce, investment, health, education, sports, and culture.
The Malaysian High Commissioner was highly appreciative of the role played by PMFA in fostering business relations between the two countries and hoped that it would continue to do so in the future for which he assured full cooperation from his side.
Mr. Shahid Jawed Qureshi, President PMFA highly praised the exemplary role of the High Commission in providing impetus to the bilateral trade and investment and noted that during his tenure as High Commissioner, the two-way trade, as well as Malaysian Investment in Pakistan, has increased manifold.
He also noted that during his tenure, the Prime Ministers of both countries paid official visits to each other’s country which also boosted the bilateral relations. He conveyed his best wishes to the Malaysian HC in his future diplomatic assignment.
