LWMC kicks off ‘Sanitation Week’

On the directives of the Punjab Chief Minister, the Lahore Waste Management Company kicked off sanitation week as part of “Khidmat Apki Dehleez Pay” programme.

The purpose of the sanitation week is to take extraordinary cleaning measures in the city. In this regard, CEO LWMC Imran Ali Sultan paid multiple visits across the city.

He visited Thokar niaz Baig, Multan Road, Data Darbar, Sabzazar, Johar Town, Allama Iqbal Town, Ferozepur Road, Muslim Town, Chauburji, Lakshami Chowk, Circular Road and other areas.

During the visit, the LWMC CEO stated that the department is working according to the plan formulated regarding sanitation week and following the plan special cleanliness arrangements are being made in every area of the city especially outside and around public and private hospitals, mosques, churches, main roads, government offices, parks and commercial markets.

Department is carrying out scrapping activity across the city in connection with the sanitation week special cleanliness operations are being carried out in the city.

in two shifts and in the third shift, mechanical sweeping and washing is being further enhanced.

CEO LWMC said that to maintain cleanliness is our top priority and department is using its all possible resources to ensure exceptional sanitation services in the city, he also said that department has made extra ordinary arrangements of cleanliness and on the other hand citizens should also make sure that they dispose of their waste properly instead of littering and illegal dumping.

Head of Communication Department said that citizens should dial our helpline 1139 or use mobile based application Clean Lahore for prompt redressal of their waste related complaints.
