As many as 921 development schemes are being completed of Community Development and Sustainable Development Goals Achievement Programs at a cost of Rs6.75 billion during the Annual development program.
Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ali reviewed progress on development schemes during a meeting, which was attended by ADC Finance Afifa Shajia, Deputy Director Development Rana Tahir Mahmood, PHA, Wasa, FDA, NGPL, Fesco representatives, officers from Buildings, Roads, Local Government, Public Health Engineering and other departments.
On the occasion, the Deputy Director Development informed that these schemes are being completed under different phases of Community Development Program and Sustainable Development Program. He said that 53 schemes of Sui Gas are being completed with Rs310 million.
He further informed that another 27 schemes of PWD are being executed at a cost of Rs230 million; Rs 800 million are being spent on 150 schemes of FDA, 68 schemes of Wasa are being executed with Rs710 million, Rs116 million being spent on 53 schemes of PHA and Rs570 million on 57 schemes of Road Construction Division.
He informed that schemes of Highways, buildings, PHA and Local Govt were also completing.
DC reviewed in detail the progress of implementation of ongoing schemes in the district and directed the concerned departments to utilize the available funds expeditiously in a transparent manner to complete the schemes so that the citizens could soon reap the benefits of these schemes.
Reviewing the pace of work on ongoing projects under the CDP and SAP program, he expressed displeasure over the slow pace by some departments and urged them to make better progress in a week.
