CCPO for better coordination to improve law and order

Capital City Police Officer Lahore Additional IG Ghulam Mahmood Dogar has said that maintenance of Law and Order is the top priority and collective responsibility of all wings of Lahore Police.

Operations, Investigation and CIA wings should further improve mutual coordination to improve law and order situation as well as prevention and detection of crime with joint efforts. He was presiding over a high level meeting at District Police Lines Qilla Gujjar Singh today.

DIG Investigation Shariq Jamal, DIG Operations Sajid Kiani, SSPs of Operations, Investigation and CIA wings, all divisional SPs, SDPOs/ASPs and other related officers attended the meeting.

CCPO Lahore Ghulam Mahmood Dogar reviewed the overall law and order situation as well as crime control in the meeting and directed all concerned to further improve their performance.

The meeting was informed that Lahore Police during present year in four months has arrested as many as 3976 Proclaimed Offenders (POs) involved in heinous crimes including 427 hardened criminals involved in incidents of murder, attempt of murder, dacoity and robbery.

Lahore Police during the current year also arrested as many as 3549 POs of category ‘B’, 1188 Court Absconders and 767 habitual criminals.

The meeting was further informed that Police arrested 1791 accused members of 672 notorious gangs and recovered from them as many as 1187 motorbikes, 35 cars, 53 other vehicles, 1638 mobile phones and 18 laptops.

Police also recovered valuables worth more than rupees 32 crore from these gang members, the meeting was apprised.

The record and data of more than two thousands citizens was checked during the search operations using Hotel Eye, Travel Eye, e police app and other gadgets.

Ghulam Mahmood Dogar said all wings of Lahore Police should refine SOPs for improvement in operations, investigation and prosecution process for prompt response and better results in law and order situation and incidents of crime.

CCPO Lahore said that SPs and other related officers of both Operations and Investigation wings should visit crime scene at the earliest.
