The police registered as many as over 5,000 cases while 487 car owners and motorcyclists were challaned during the three days of Eidul Fitr in the provincial metropolis on the charges of violating coronavirus standard operating procedures (SOPs).
According to details, 78 first information reports (FIR) have also been filed against public transporters for not implementing guidelines.
On the other hand, Pakistan has reported 76 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 877,130. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 19,543.
