Sarwar says opposition unable to tolerate development and stability of country

Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar has said that the opposition’s politics aims at hampering development process in the country but Prime Minister Imran Khan will not back down from his principled stand.

He said that Pakistan stands with Palestinian brethren and will raise voice for them at all forums of the world. “Those who remain silent spectators to Palestinian genocide are no less than criminals.”

Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar was talking to PTI MNAs – Karamat Khokhar, Rahat Amanullah, MPAs – Amin Chaudhry, Malik Nadeem Bara and Chief Minister’s Coordinator Aun Chaudhry among others at Governor’s House here on Sunday.

The governor said that the increase in exports to European Union is a testament to the government’s successful economic policies.

The meeting discussed political and governmental issues whereas Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that unfortunately the opposition is unable to tolerate the development and stability of the country but the people of Pakistan stands with the government.

The promises made to the nation will be fulfilled and practical steps are being taken to overcome the problems of inflation and unemployment.

Chaudhry Sarwar said that Pakistan is moving in the right direction in the economic sector and despite the Corona outbreak, Pakistan’s exports to European countries have increased.

The world institutions including the World Bank are acknowledging the implementation of transparency and merit in Government’s initiatives like the Ehsaas Program.

While condemning the Human Rights and International law abuse in Palestine, Governor Punjab Chaudhry Sarwar called out the international organisations including the United Nations for keeping a mum on the worsening condition of Palestine.

He said that there is no doubt that terrorist Israel has crossed all the boundaries of inhumanity.

The world must break its silence on the atrocities committed by Israel, adding that Pakistan stands with their Palestinian brothers and sisters and will continue to support their just right to freedom and self-determination, he maintained.

Meanwhile, as many as 273,359 corona patients have recovered in the public sector hospitals being run under the control of Specialized and Primary & Secondary Healthcare departments, while 2448 patients are recovered during the last 24 hours.

This was disclosed by Barrister Nabeel Ahmed Awan Secretary Specialized Healthcare Punjab today.

He said that 7480 beds were reserved in all govt. hospitals for corona patients, out of which 5081 beds were unoccupied.

Likewise, 1623 beds reserved in govt. Hospitals of the provincial metropolis and 1049 beds were vacant so far.

The Secretary SHC&MED said that in view of the surging corona pandemic, the department had arranged 3307 beds in Isolation wards of all govt. hospitals in the province, out of which, 2623 beds were vacant.

However, 424 beds for corona patients are reserved in isolation wards set up in govt. hospitals of Lahore and 325 beds are unoccupied.

In addition, 3408 beds are also reserved in HDU for patients suffering from Covid-19 in all the hospitals of Punjab government and 2087 beds are vacant while, in hospitals of Lahore, 927 beds reserved in HDU and 641 beds are unoccupied, Nabeel Awan added.

The Secretary SHC said the health department had arranged 765 ventilators for corona patients in all hospitals of the provincial government, of which 394 ventilators were under use while 371 were unoccupied.

Around 272 ventilators are reserved in Lahore hospitals, of which 189 are occupied and 83 ventilators are vacant, said Nabeel Awan.
