Dengue has affected further 144 citizens in Karachi and thus the number of dengue-affected in Karachi alone has exceeded 2, 000. This is a panicking situation as the healthcare facilities in Karachi are already overburdened and lack due dengue control and treatment facilities.
According to Dengue Surveillance Cell, dengue has affected 144 people in just one day in Karachi and the dengue affected number of people in Karachi has reached 2140 only in the current month of October.
Overall cases of dengue reported in Karachi this current year remained 5183 in Karachi and 5518 in Sindh while 18 dengue affected people have been dead yet.
