The Punjab Board of Revenue has retrieved 22 acres of state land worth more than Rs10 million from the land grabbers in district Rajanpur.
The recovery was made during a crackdown launched on the instruction of Punjab Chief Minister.
It is worth mentioning that 5,117 acres state land worth Rs2.4 billion has so far been evacuated from the mafia.
This was stated by Senior Member Board of Revenue Babar Hayat Tarar while presiding over a meeting of Sargodha Division through video link.
The meeting also reviewed the progress of various ongoing initiatives of the Revenue Department.
The meeting was informed that reforms are being introduced in the department besides ensuring the immediate solution of people’s problem and a mobile application is also being used in this regard.
Progress review meetings are also being held at the district and division level for the smooth functioning of the department as well as early redressal of people’s grievances.
