Opp asks govt to take protest issue seriously, resolve it peacefully

Opposition parliamentarians including PPP and JUI-F on Monday warned the government to take ongoing protest by a religious party seriously and resolve the matter amicably.

As a government, the PTI totally failed to perform its duty, they maintained. Pakistan People’s Party leader Raja Pervaiz Ashraf regretted that the country was passing through crucial time and the Prime Minister was unable to come and take the parliament into confidence. Why the PM has giving policy statement on TV instead of parliament house, he questioned.

Today, he said two brothers were on fight while no sincere efforts were taken to resolve the issue.

The Lahore type of incident never occurred in state of Madina, which the PM always mentioned.

The PPP leader questioned over the agreement reached between the government and TLP and nor it was presented in the parliament. In current situation, he said the government was going into wrong direction.

The JUI-F leader Abdus Shakoor in his emotional speech said it was a matter life and death for entire Muslim Ummah.

Referring to PTI 126 days sit-in, he said they also attacked on parliament, PTV house and no one banned but if a religious party come out against disrespect of Holy Prophet, they banned it.

He warned that the religious parties would never compromise on blasphemous. He also claimed that Interior Minister Shaikh Rashid was unable to face the parliament.

Responding opposition quarries, Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Dr. Noor-ul-Haq Qadri said the Prime Minister has raised voice for sanctity of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) at every world forums.
