Fatima Jinnah Women College sealed for 8 days

The Gilgit-Baltistan administration sealed Fatima Jinnah Women Degree College for eight days due to 5 suspected covid-19 Cases on Tuesday.

Two residential areas (Yaseen Colony, Noor Colony) were also sealed by GB administration on Monday.

The DC Naveed Ahmed said 66 active cases surfaced in GB, which were why strict action had to be taken.

Home Secretary GB Chaudhry Muhammad Ali Randhawa has issued restrictions on inter-provincial transport for Gilgit-Baltistan in view of the decision of the National Command and Operations Centre.

According to the notification, there will be restrictions on inter-provincial transport on Saturdays and Sundays from April 10 to April 25 to curb the spread of the corona virus in Gilgit-Baltistan, but air service will continue under strict SOPs.

The ban is aimed at ensuring public health by controlling the growing number of cases of corona in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Deputy Commissioner Gilgit further said that all possible steps would be taken to ensure implementation of COVED-19 SOPs in Gilgit-Baltistan.
