A kabaddi match in Sumandri turned into a one-sided stone-pelting contest when the district administration tried to stop the match amid a surge in coronavirus cases in the city.
It all started when Sumandri Assistant Commissioner Faisal Sultan backed by a heavy contingent of police arrived at the ground and attempted to stop the kabaddi match.
The organisers of the kabaddi match found it hard to digest the assistant commissioner’s attempt which led to an exchange of harsh words and later they pelted stones on the AC and the police contingent.
The policemen took shelter behind the vehicles parked on the road and later ran away from the scene.
