On the directives of Punjab CM Sardar Usman Buzdar, crackdown on Qabza Mafia has been intensified across Punjab and 1,719 acre of state land in 16 districts, worth Rs1.65 billion, has been retrieved from grabbers. The police have also registered 14 FIRs against the land grabbers in different districts.
According to detail, as many 680 kanal of state land worth Rs290 million has been retrieved from land grabbers in Narowal dsitrict.
Similarly, 164 acre land worth Rs200 million has been retrieved in Bahawalnagar; 737 kanal of land worth Rs181 million in Sheikhupura; as many as 188 acre land worth Rs180 million in Rahim Yar Khan; 278 kanal land worth Rs70 million in Nankana Sahib; 221 kanal land worth Rs50 million in Pakpattan and 32 kanal land worth Rs38 million has been retrieved from land grabbers in Khanewal district.
Moreover, 10 FIRs have been registered against three land grabbers after retrieving 25 acre of state land, worth Rs89 million in Okara district.
Similarly, two cases have been registered against the Qabza Mafia in Gujrat. Moreover, 52 kanal land worth Rs20m and 381 acre land worth Rs70m has been retrieved in Bahawalpur and DG Khan respectively besides registration of two cases against the grabbers.
While, 72 kanal land worth Rs36m has been vacated in Sialkot; 1,520 kanal of state land worth Rs40m in Muzaffargarh; 65 acre land Rs180 million in Faisalabad and 65 acre land worth Rs58m has been retrieved from Qabza mafia in Multan district.
