Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar has said 1863 new corona cases have been reported in Punjab during the last 24 hours while 8 others have died of corona in this period.

In a statement issued here on Monday, the CM said 17298 were tested for coronavirus in this period while the number of active cases has reached 15362.

Similarly, 5980 corona patients have departed while a total of 3646552 have been tested in the province.

Everyone should be very careful as the third corona wave has become dangerous, the CM continued.

The CM asked the nation to work for the country while setting aside personal differences as such things have no value before larger national interest.

The nation demands unity from all of us and everyone will have to bury the hatchet, he added.

The CM maintained that everyone will have to follow the path of honesty and hard work to move the country forward.

Meanwhile, the PTI is striving to make the country a true Islamic welfare state to fulfil the goals of the Resolution of Pakistan.

It strives to provide equal opportunities to every citizen and the nation can achieve the destination by following the passions of March 23 1940, concluded the CM. Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar has said the auspicious occasion of March 23rd cannot be forgotten in the struggle for a separate homeland for the Muslims of the subcontinent.

In his message, the CM said March 23rd was a watershed moment when the Muslims collectively decided to carve out a separate homeland in the subcontinent.

We are living as an independent and sovereign nation but it is the results of tremendous efforts, hard work and sacrifices rendered by millions of Muslims, he emphasised.

The CM paid rich tributes to the leadership of the All India Muslim League who passed the Pakistan Resolution under the dynamic leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah as this resolution paved the way for a separate homeland.

In fact, March 23rd is a day of materialisation of dreams into reality as the struggle for independence was not easy.

The Muslims had to pass through countless rivers of blood and fire to set up Pakistan, he added.

It is heartening that the struggle for Pakistan was materialized under Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah after innumerable sacrifices.

Meanwhile, the journey from the foundation of Pakistan to the development and prosperity of the nation continues and every citizen will have to play its active role in this regard, the CM emphasised.

The chief minister appealed to the nation to act as a responsible citizen to deal with the challenges as the PTI-led government has laid the foundation of a new Pakistan.

Pakistan is moving towards achieving the destination envisioned by Quaid and Iqbal and the government will move the country forward under the leadership of PM Imran Khan to fulfil the mission of the founding fathers, concluded the CM.
