Indiscriminate action against kite makers, sellers

DIG Operations Lahore Sajid Kayani has said that the checking mechanism should be made more effective to control street crime.

Suspicious motorcyclists should be specially checked. Elements buying and selling kites online on social media should be monitored.

He directed his subordinate staff to ensure implementation of SOPs issued by the Punjab Government in view of the Corona Outbreak Concerns.

He expressed these views during an important meeting of SPs held at his office here on Monday.

SSP Operations Ahsan Saifullah, SP Head Quarters Imran Ahmad Malik, SP Dolphin Squad Rashid Hidayat, SP ARF Sajid Khokhar, Divisional SPs attended the meeting.

The meeting reviewed the city-wide crime control, prevention and operational strategy.

DIG Operations said that response time on 15 calls should be further improved and deliberate delay would not be tolerated.

Don’t delay in FIRs of crimes unnecessarily. Sajid Kayani said that immediate action should be taken on the requests of applicants.

Patrolling, snap checking, search operations and general hold up should be done to ensure law and order in the city.

He further said that indiscriminate action should be taken against the makers and sellers of kites.
