A man shot dead his five members including mother, two brothers and injured two others over unknown reasons here on Tuesday.
Police arrested the accused with murder weapon. According to details, the incident took place in Diolai area of district Swat of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), where accused sprayed bullets at his family members.
As a result of firing, five people including mother and two brothers of the culprit were killed on the spot while two others were injured. The accused fled scene of crime.
The bodies and injured were shifted to hospital for medico-legal formalities. The police conducted search operation and arrested the culprit with murder weapon.
Reasons behind quintuplet murder could not be ascertained, however, the police after registering a case against detainee have started an investigation.—INP
