PML-N stalwart and Leader of the Opposition in Punjab Assembly has said that the victory of Yousuf Raza Gilani in the Senate elections reflects the public aspirations and emotions.

“The government spokespersons always lied on television and in fact the victory of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) parties in the Senate elections represents the stance of the nation.”

Hamza Shehbaz was talking to media persons after attending the hearing of the Ramzan Sugar Mill case at an accountability court here on Thursday.

The PML-N leader said that all future decisions will be made in the coming PDM meeting.

He criticised the government for not controlling the inflation and said essential commodities prices were brought under control during the PML-N era.

The PML-N leader said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) ministers will continue to face such kind of upset if they don’t do anything to control inflation and unemployment.

Hamza Shahbaz said that the government leaders tell lies and deceive the people with fake promises.

They should better focus on growth rate of Pakistan which is hitting the negative level due to increasing prices, he advised.

Meanwhile, Accountability Court judge Amjad Nazir Chaudhry summoned the jail superintendent on March 9 after Hamza Shehbaz’s bail paper was not signed.

The court summoned the jail superintendent and asked him to inform the court that why there was no signature of Hamza Shehbaz on the bail bond in the Ramzan Sugar Mills case.

The jail superintendent also asked to explain whose thumb impression was on the bail bond.

The court was apprised that PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif did not come back from Islamabad and the Deputy Superintendent presented Shehbaz Sharif’s medical report in the court.

Shehbaz Sharif’s lawyer Amjad Pervaiz argued that doctors have advised his client rest after his medical checkup in Islamabad.

The court accepted the Shehbaz Sharif request and adjourned the Ramzan Sugar Mills case till March 11 and summoned the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) witnesses in the next hearing.
