Energy Think Tank (ETT) held fourth of its total five one-day consultative workshop in Karachi on the Draft of Alternative & Renewable Energy Policy (ARE) circulated by the Federal Government for inviting comments of the concerned stakeholder s. During the workshop, the draft policy was discussed in detail and notes were shared by the stakeholders from government and private benches for promoting alternative and renewable energy projects in the country, its contours, the current energy mix and enhancement of the share of alternative renewable energy towards achieving the goals of energy sustainability, security, affordability and availability. The workshop was organized by ETT with support extended by the Government of Sindh, Vestas,MAQ,ENgro Energy and Descon Engineering. It is worth mentioning here that the ETT was formed recently as a group of professionals from across the Energy Sector Value chain and its ancillary service entities, which have voluntarily gathered on bipartisan basis with the principle aim of enriching pool of cross-functional knowledge database that leads to optimised solutions for Pakistan’s energy sector on a sustainable basis through interactive workshops and conferences.
