AGITATED by its persistent failures to sell its hate-Pakistan stories to sell to the world, India has intensified its campaign to portray Pakistan in black, but unfortunately Bangladesh media too has begun to do that.
Credibility is considered most important factor for any Media source. Asian News International (ANI) champions itself as South Asia’s largest news agency being major source of news provision to Indian Print and electronic Media.
EU disinformation lab report published in December 2020, has exposed nexus of ANI with mysterious and heinous fake news network operating through a combination of fake news outlets (over 500 in 95 countries), fake NGOs (over 10) and fake personalities(in hundreds) in spreading hate against Pakistan. One area of special focus of this malicious disinformation campaign has been Balochistan.
India has openly expressed its support for Baloch sub nationalism and has been inciting hate in Pakistani masses against the state thus violating all international relations ethics and norms. More so, it has addicted Indian masses with unending illusion of hate and superficiality.
Indian Propaganda against the CPEC and Pakistan China friendship is understood as Pakistan is quickly gaining back it’s justly deserved economic potential and stature, thanks to great Chinese friendship. Indian efforts in trying to sideline Pakistan are also backfiring as Pakistan is being seen with respect in conflict resolutions in Afghanistan and the Gulf.
Unfortunately, present Bangladeshi regime has also towed Indian narrative and even positive gestures from Pakistan are returned with annoying coldness. What is worrisome is that Bangladeshi mainstream media is involved in spreading hate against Pakistan.
The Daily Sun is one of the leading Bangladeshi English newspapers. This apparently credible newspaper has been found involved in publishing unconfirmed and twisted stories about Pakistan. To further the case of fake news, ANI quotes The Sun in her traditional news twisting. Strangely, Indian mainstream media has once again published fake news without any ground check.
Pakistan-Iran understanding and peaceful dispute resolution mechanism is haunting collective enemies of both states. Both countries have well understood mutual stance and are ready to address all issues without any hesitation. Pakistan has worked with neighbours to keep the region free of conflicts. Iran, Pakistan, Afghanistan, CARs and even Gulf countries have understood the value of peace.
Bangladesh involvement is least understood. Its leadership was angry over Islamabad reaction on hanging of Jamat-i-Islami leaders for 1971 war crimes, but then not only Pakistan long ago apologized over it but only recently Prime Minister Imran Khan telephoned his Dhaka counterpart Hasina Wajid. Things seem to have improved a bit, but then there are always vested interests in every country who keep acting negatively and never allow friendly or fraternal countries to remove their misgivings.
