‘Tourism and Jobs: a better future for all’, is the theme for World Tourism Day this year. Tourism is a major source of employment because of its multiplier effect on employment-related sectors. Overall, tourism provides for 1 in every 10 jobs worldwide.
To commemorate World Tourism Day, Hashoo Group Deputy Chairman and CEO Mr. Murtaza Hashwani reaffirmed a strong commitment towards boosting the tourism and hospitality in Pakistan.
“As the pioneers of hospitality in Pakistan, we know that tourism has an immense potential and tapping into this potential, we are expanding our hospitality portfolio massively to support Pakistan in emerging as one of the preferred destinations of the world,” he said.
In this connection, Hashoo Group is currently in the process of opening new five-star hotels in Mirpur, Malam Jabba, Multan and Hayatabad, under the Pearl-Continental Hotels and Resorts brand. It is also expanding the Hotel One brand across the country.
