India exposed once again

A number of developments that took place during the last
few months have thoroughly exposed India’s false pro
paganda against Pakistan and its aggressive designs that put the regional peace and security at stake. The latest is the leaked WhatsApp conversation between Indian anchor Arnab Goswami, who is known for being funded by ruling BJP and head of ratings company, Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC), Pratho Dasgupta, which confirmed that Pulwama attack was a “false flag” operation to ensure the re-election of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Pakistan has long been drawing attention of the international community that India was levelling baseless allegations of terrorism against Pakistan just as part of the tactics to hoodwink its public opinion and at the same time maligning Pakistan on an issue that is priority number one with the world i.e. terrorism and extremism. The latest report that vindicated Pakistan’s stand also shows to what extent Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi can go to raise his popularity artificially and boost electoral prospects – even at the risk of a dangerous conflict between the two nuclear armed countries. It is because of this that Pakistan, on Sunday, asked the international community to hold India accountable for vitiating the regional security environment as evident from chat made public by Mumbai police as part of its investigations into the manipulation of TV ratings. The investigation revealed that Modi and his Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Administration had planned the air strike, just before the election, in a way that would ‘elate’ the people. At least 40 Indian paramilitary troops were killed in an attack that took place in February 2019 in Pulwama just weeks before the Indian parliamentary elections and New Delhi was quick to blame Pakistan for the attack rejecting repeated offers of cooperation in investigation by Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Just days after the Pulwama attack, India sent its fighter jets across Pakistan, for the first time since 1971 war, dropping bombs in a hurry when chased out by Pakistani fighter jets. What an irony that the aggression against Pakistan was justified in the name of so-called ‘hot pursuit’ of ‘terrorists’ whereas the Pulwama attack was indeed a false flag operation; planned and conducted to ensure Mod’s election victory showing him a strong leader, while also maligning the legitimate freedom struggle of Kashmiris and Pakistan for allegedly supporting terrorism. Bombing of Pakistani territory was provocation of the extreme sort and a wider conflict between the two countries was avoided only because of the measured and responsible response of Pakistan. Political and military leadership of Pakistan firmly decided to teach a lesson to India but did so in a manner that prevented a full-scale war that could have turned into a catastrophe. Pakistan retaliated the very next day, shooting down two Indian planes of which one fell on this side of Line of Control (LoC). Pakistan captured the Indian pilot but freed him soon to avoid further escalation, a gesture that proved Pakistan’s peace credentials and its desire to reduce regional tension. The investigation shows a strong nexus between the RSS government and hyper-nationalist India media.
Earlier, a BBC report based on EU DisinfoLab revealed that a dead professor and numerous defunct organizations were resurrected and used alongside at least 750 fake media outlets in a vast 15-year global disinformation campaign to serve Indian interests. It said the network was designed primarily to “discredit Pakistan internationally” and influence decision-making at the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) and European Parliament. But the latest revelation is more serious as false flag operation was carried out and used as a justification for an aggression against Pakistan just to muster political support for the Indian Prime Minister. Pakistan Foreign Office has rightly pointed out that BJP government stages “false flag” operations, maligns Islamabad with terrorism-related allegations; stokes hyper-nationalism in the country, claims to have launched so-called “surgical strike” and then deviously manipulates national sentiment in its bid to win elections. There are also credible reports that many other terrorist incidents in India, which were blamed on Pakistan, were carried out by Indian intelligence agencies to win sympathy of the international community and malign Pakistan which has rendered enormous sacrifices in the war against terror for the sake of regional and global peace and security. It is time for the world community to pay serious attention to India’s sinister designs against Pakistan, other small neighbours and systematic usurpation of rights and interests of Indian Muslims and Kashmiris.
