Staff Reporter On the directives of the Punjab chief minister, the Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) continued its cleanliness operation on fourth day under it’s sanitation week. Following the directions from the Chairman and Managing Director, the LWMC has made special cleanliness services across the city. In connection with the sanitation week LWMC lifted more than 20,000 tons of solid waste from the city till now. The LWMC CEO stated that Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) is doing its best to make this operation successful and to ensure timely lifting of waste. In this regard Special cleanliness arrangements were made around all the Government offices of the city. CEO LWMC stated that the department is working effectively and using all its resources to provide exceptional cleanliness services to every nook and corner of the city. He also said that department is ensuring timely lifting of solid waste from the city to clear the back log as well as the daily waste whereas citizens should also make sure they dispose of their waste properly instead of littering, as without their cooperation department cannot achieve the objective of Clean Lahore. Furthermore, Head of Communication Department said that LWMC has made extraordinary arrangements regarding sanitation week.
