Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar has said that anti-state forces, including India are targeting peace in Pakistan. “This is not time for politics rather it is time to deal with the enemies of the country.”
Punjab Governor Ch Sarwar was talking to media at the inauguration of Water Filtration Plant at National Highway and Motorways Police Training College here. “We will fully ensure the system of punishment and retribution in all institutions”, he declared and added that to make Pakistan strong, prosperous and developed, the institutions must be completely free from political interference and the government is pursuing the same policy.
Provincial Ministers including Ejaz Alam Augustine, Mian Khalid Mahmood, IG Motorway Dr Syed Kaleem Imam, DIG Training College, Mehboob Aslam and Members of National and Provincial Assembly were also present on the occasion.
Ch Sarwar pointed out that at present Pakistan is facing many challenges and everyone must work together to overcome these challenges. He said that unfortunately India is still conspiring against Pakistan and wants to create instability here. He said that it is time to thwart the ulterior designs of the enemies of the country for which the opposition parties would have to take decisions beyond political interests.
The governor said that National Highway and Motorways Police is an excellent institution of Pakistan and the government wants to ensure such merit and transparency in all institutions as well as complete eradication of corruption for which all measures are being ensured. He said that the Punjab Aab-e-Pak Authority is working with vigor under his supervision to provide clean drinking water to the people. The government will provide clean drinking water to the people very soon. He said that, today, he inaugurated this plant in the Police Training College and it is a gift from Sarwar Foundation to the police officers and other staff. It will provide clean drinking water to about one thousand people daily.
Speaking on the occasion, IG National Highways and Motorways Police Dr Syed Kaleem Imam thanked the Governor Punjab and Sarwar Foundation for installing the filtration plant and said that it was our great need which has been fulfilled. He said that with the provision of clean water, a large number of people including the training staff would be saved from deadly diseases including Hepatitis.
Later, Punjab Governor Ch Sarwar was given an honorary shield by the Motorway Police while the Governor Punjab handed over a certificate of appreciation to the DIG Training College.
