The Sindh High Court extended the bail of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Firdous Shamim Naqvi and sought the relevant investigation report from the National Accountability Bureau by February 10. Member of provincial assembly, Naqvi, has maintained in his plea that NAB has sent another summon notice to him in connection with the investigation of land allotment to Habib Group of Companies. The plea states that Naqvi was the director of Habib Group of Companies in 2006 when the land was allotted to the company on a 30-year lease. During the hearing, NAB prosecutor Shahbaz Sahtora maintained before the court that the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) had allotted a plot to Habib Metro in violation of the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority’s rules.
