Following the anger of Speaker Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, the Punjab government released more than Rs50 million for Wazirabad Institute. Government and opposition members continued to heat up in the Punjab Assembly session over the issue.
Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has also said that in order to fulfill the legitimate demands of the farmers, we have raised our voice at every forum. It takes time to make the farmers prosperous, he added.
According to details, District President Pakistan Muslim League Rawalpindi Zubair Ahmad Khan and General Secretary Fayyaz Tabassum called on Speaker Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi.
The Speaker Punjab Assembly said that he would visit Rawalpindi district and address the workers convention as soon as the corona virus epidemic was over. Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi said that Pakistan Muslim League will take full part in the local body elections in Punjab. Preference will be given to personalities with the spirit of public service.
Speaker Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi expressed satisfaction over the district organization and appreciated the performance of both the leaders. “Workers are a valuable asset to our party,” he said. During the visit, I will not only meet the workers but also their legitimate demands will be met.
Law Minister Raja Basharat said that if Shahbaz Sharif can resign from the PAC of the National Assembly then why Hamza Shahbaz insists. The meeting passed 3 resolutions in the public interest and rejected 3 while one government member withdrew. The meeting was adjourned indefinitely on completion of the agenda. It may be recalled that Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi is the leader of PML-Q and is an important ally of PML-Q government.
