Spokesperson of Sindh Governments and Advisor for Law, Environment & Coastal Development Barrister Murtaza Wahab has said that the federal government has maliciously tried to interfere in provincial affairs, incompetent federal government is not able to do its job due to which FBR’s performance over the last two and a half years has been disappointing. He expressed these views while addressing a press conference in the committee room of Sindh Assembly Building here on Monday. He said that there was talk of privatizing the department which the federal government could not run. “I remind the Prime Minister of Pakistan that you promised not two but one Pakistan but in your time the houses of the poor were demolished but the house of the PM was regularized.” He said that this facility is not available to the poor but the house of the Prime Minister was saved for Rs. 1.2 million but you demolish the house of the poor. He said that the first house out of 5 million houses built by the Prime Minister is his private house. He said that Imran Khan’s government is an anti-people government. If the house of the Prime Minister can be regularized at Rs 1.2 million, then why the house of a common man could not be regularized. He said that the federal government did not believe in the law and the federal government had been violating the constitution for the last two and a half years. Sindh’s domestic industrial consumers and transporters are being affected by the gas crisis. “Sindh produces 68% of Pakistan’s daily gas production, but Sindh needs 1400 MMCFD out of 24 and we are producing many times more than we need,” Spokesperson of Sindh Governments said, citing statistics ۔ He said that the Prime Minister of Pakistan had promised 10 million jobs but Asad Umar had promised to stand with the workers and in these circumstances, four and a half thousand workers were forcibly evicted Now they are announcing not to run the railways. He added that not a single institution is running from them and why doesn’t the Prime Minister announce that the government is not running from us and federal minister is saying that the railway is not running from us. He slammed the federal government, saying it wanted to sell all Pakistani institutions for pennies which we would not allow. The FBR has written letters to industrialists and The December 3 letter called on industrialists to pay taxes to the FBR. He said that after the 18th amendment, the federal government had nothing to do with labor issues. The Sindh government has passed a law for workers. The federal government used to give Rs. 70 crore to Sindh. Now the Sindh government has brought it to about Rs. 7.90 billion. The federal government is also trying to shed blood on this money. Such tactics affect recovery. It would be much better if the federal government did not interfere in provincial affairs.
