On International Human Rights Day, thousands of Sikhs besieged Indian consulates in New York and Toronto in protest against India’s controversial agricultural laws.
They garlanded shoe necklaces around Modi’s neck and chanted slogans for Indian Punjab to become Khalistan. In the United States and Canada, the Sikh community staged trucks and car rallies in support of Indian Punjab and Haryana farmers. Kashmiris and the Pakistani community also participated in the demonstration. Slogans of independence of Kashmir and long live Pakistan were also chanted on the occasion.
Addressing a sit-in outside the Indian Consulate in New York , Sikh For Justice Coordinator Autaar Singh Pannu said that all the laws in India are black so we are giving a new and peaceful neighbor to Pakistan by making it a national Khalistan very soon in Indian Occupied Punjab . I appeal to Pakistanis to also support our cause and Surround the Indian Consulate in Islamabad. Overseas Global Foundation Chairman Zaheer Akhtar Mehar said that we are with the Punjabi farmer brothers and also fully support the Khalistan movement.
