Members of PTI and MQM, led by FirdousShamimNaqvi, the Leader of Opposition in Sindh Assembly, have filed a motion in the Sindh Assembly to convene the assembly.
Leader of the Opposition FirdousShamimNaqvi, PTI Sindh Assembly member Jamal Siddiqui, ShahnawazJadoon and MQM member Muhammad Hussain submitted the motion to the Sindh Assembly Secretary.
In the petition, the opposition has taken a stand that a meeting of the Sindh Assembly should be convened as soon as possible in which the Local Government Bill, measures against Corona virus, destruction due to rains, Karachi Transformation Plan, increasing incidents of street crimes. The court should discuss murder, sale of drugs, flour prices, delay in supply of wheat by Sindh government and other issues.
On the occasion, FirdousShamimNaqvi said that the Sindh government was repeatedly postponing sessions to avoid its accountability. The Sindh government does not want the opposition to demand answers from them in the assembly on public issues. We, the people, cannot ignore the problems. The unserious attitude of the Sindh government is regrettable. The Sindh government should convene a meeting as soon as possible and the issues identified by us should be discussed in the assembly.
