Special Assistant to Chief Minister Firdous Ashiq Awan on Sunday termed opposition rallies main cause of the spread of Covid-19 in the country.
Lashing out at the opposition over their irresponsible behaviors during the second wave of the Covid-19, Firdous Ashiq Awan said that 25 more people succumbed to Coronavirus during the past 24 hours across Punjab. She maintained that 662 more people tested positive for the Covid-19 in the province.
She declared that PTI came into power through the power of vote, she said, adding that the government could not be toppled by the rallies. Talking about economy, the special assistant said that political stability was vital for the economic stability. She said that the opposition meeting scheduled to be held on 13th of December will prove to be a flop-show.

Meanwhile, the special assistant to CM said that PDM’s threat to resign is merely a joke as these people don’t have the courage to resign and the government will not fall into the trap of opposition.
In a statement issued on Sunday, she said that PDM is putting the lives of the people in danger only to safeguard its political interests. She said that PDM is responsible for increasing number of corona cases. The insensible opposition leaders are unable to understand the severity of the situation and these people have nothing to do with the people’s problems but only concerned to save their looted wealth, she added. She said that PDM leaders are mentally sick as they only care for themselves and not the public at large.
She said that the number of corona patients in Lahore has reached 60,266. She said that 662 confirmed cases have been reported and 25 patients have died in Punjab during the last 24 hours. She said the number of active corona patients has reached 20,483 and a total of 3,162 patients have died in Punjab, she added.
She said that opposition should refrain from putting lives of the innocent people in danger just for its nefarious designs. On December 13, the people of Lahore will blow air out of the PDM balloon, she further said.
