Dr Ghulam Hussain grieved over death of ex-Speaker NA Sahibzada Farooq

Former federal minister and ex-Secretary General of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Dr Ghulam Hussain has expressed his heartfelt sorrow and grief over demise of his longtime colleague and one of the founding members of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Sahibzada Farooq Ali Khan.
In a condolence message, Dr Ghulam Hussain who himself is among the founding members of the PPP, paid rich tributes to Sahibzada Farooq for his contributions to democracy and for being instrumental in smooth passage of the 1973 constitution.
Pakistan’s National Assembly under Sahibzada Farooq as its speaker had passed the 1973 constitution that is a landmark document and basis of parliamentary democracy, said Dr Ghulam Hussain in his condolence message. Dr Ghulam Hssain said Sahibzada Farooq was an upright man and his services to the country and his commitment to the ideology of the party leader late Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Shaheed were above board.
“Sahibzada Farooq served the nation with complete devotion and dedication,” said Dr Ghulam Hussain in his message. Sahibzada Farooq Ali Khan died a day earlier (Sunday) in Multan. He was 90 and suffering from Alzehmier’s for a long time.
Born on September 5, 1931, Sahibzada Farooq Ali Khan was a prominent advocate and was widely respected in political as well as legal circles. He is survived by a widow, son and a daughter. Dr Ghulam Hussain prayed to Almighty Allah for eternal peace of the departed soul and offered his condolences to the bereaved family of Sahibzada Farooq.
