Ambassador of Egypt to Pakistan Tarek Mohamed Dahroug has appreciated Pakistan’s efforts for regional peace and stability, the military said on Friday.
Dahroug called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa at the military’s headquarters in Rawalpindi, according to a statement issued by the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).
During the meeting, matters of mutual interest, regional security and cooperation in all fields of defence and security were discussed, said the military’s media wing.
General Qamar said that Pakistan and Egypt enjoy brotherly relations and emphasised on the need to enhance bilateral cooperation in all spheres.
This was the second meeting between the Egyptian ambassador and the army chief in less than four months. On August 4, when the two dignitaries met for the first time, they expressed satisfaction on trajectory of bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, according to ISPR.
