Burning of left-out crops banned

Legal action would be taken against the growers who were found burning stubbles and other crops wastage to prevent smog in the area. The Deputy Commissioner Naveed Shahzad Mirza has imposed Section 144 Cr.P.C. prohibiting the burning of left-out crops and has directed the Assistant Commissioners of Hafizabad and Pindi Bhattian to take prompt action against the growers who were found burning the stubbles. According to official handout, the ACs of Pindi Bhattian and Hafizabad have got registered cases against 140 growers for violating the orders.
