Former Punjab law minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Rana Sanaullah on Friday said that free and fair elections should be held and his party would accept the outcome of the elections. Talking to media in Faisalabad on Friday, he said that sanctity of vote must be restored and importance should be given to the decision of the people. ‘We only want the establishment not to interfere in the elections,’ he said added pre-poll rigging is taking place in Gilgit-Baltistan. The PML-N leader said that the government itself had allowed Nawaz Sharif to go abroad for treatment, adding that the job of their spokespersons is simply to insult others.
Rana Sanaullah went on to say that the way the people of Gilgit-Baltistan strengthened Maryam Nawaz and PML-N’s narrative of vote ko izzat do [give respect to vote], the former prime minister will definitely come back after his treatment.—INP
