Rupee strengthened against US dollar

Islamabad

The exchange rate of Pakistani rupee strengthened by 31 paisas against US dollar in the interbank trading on Monday and closed at Rs161.05 against the previous day’s closing of 161.36.
Meanwhile according to Forex Association of Pakistan, the buying and selling rates of dollar in open market were recorded at Rs160.5 and Rs161.5 respectively.
In interbank trading, the price of euro depreciated by 22 paisas and closed at Rs190.44 against the last day’s trading of Rs191.05, State Bank of Pakistan reported.
The Japanese Yen lost one paisa and closed at Rs1.53, whereas a decrease of Rs 1.67was witnessed in the exchange rate of British Pound which was traded at Rs 209.54 as compared to its last closing of Rs211.21.—APP
