The School Education Department and Punjab Health Department have termed all the news circulating on electronic and social media regarding school closure due to Corona as baseless. According to Punjab Health Department officials, the number of corona tests in schools has been increased to determine the number of corona patients.
On the other hand, provincial education minister Murad Raas said that all educational institutions will remain open as usual. Health Secretary Capt. (Retd.) Muhammad Usman asked parents to call or inbox helpline 1033 to confirm the information.
It is to be noted that in view of the dangers of Corona virus, District Education Authority Lahore has decided to expedite the monitoring for implementation of Corona SOPs in Lahore schools. The selected team of Education Authority will also inspect Crescent Model School again. According to Lahore, arrangements for Corona in a large number of schools will be thoroughly reviewed.
The number of thermal guns will be increased according to the number of children in private and government schools, so that the temperature of the students can be recorded on a daily basis, Education CEO Pervez Akhtar Khan said.
