Commissioner Gujranwala Syed Gulzar Hussain has today addressed all the Deputy Commissioners, Assistant Commissioners and other officers in the division to launch crackdown on the hoarders and profiteers in order to ensure provision of all essential commodities at cheaper rates to provide relief to the consumers.
He issued strict directive to the DCs and ACs in the Gujranwala division to different markets and shopping centres in their respective areas and show zero tolerance to the hoarders and profiteers. He said that no negligence would be tolerated in this respect. Meanwhile, on the directive of Chief Minister and Chief Secretary of the Punjab prices emergency has been imposed and Sahulat Bazars have been established in all the districts and tehsils in the province to ensure the availability of essential commodities to the consumers at cheapest rates possible, Special Secretary Agriculture Marketing Punjab Waqar Hussain said here.
