Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi on Sunday said that the nation has rejected anti-Pakistan narrative of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo and former Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif.
According to members of a delegation from Sahiwal led by Pir Haroon Shah Khagga, the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) leader said that Nawaz Sharif is trying to harm dignity of the country he belongs to.

The PA speaker said that Nawaz Sharif cuts down the tree of democracy in which he sits. He also questioned the PML-N leader’s rhetoric about democracy and vote.
“By the way, Nawaz Sharif make long tall claims about democracy, but when the time comes to cultivate democracy, he leaves the people in the lurch and runs away, then says respect the vote”, Pervaiz Elahi regretted.
He said the nation has completely rejected Nawaz Sharif’s anti-nation rhetoric.
The PA speaker advised Nawaz Sharif to focus on his medical treatment, for which he fled the country.
On the occasion, Haroon Shah Khagga along with his associates announced joining the PML-Q.
He reposed trust in the leadership of Ch Shujaat Hussain and Ch Pervaiz Elahi. Mr Khagga said that Nawaz Sharif has always played with the emotions of the people. The vision of Ch Shujaat Hussain and Chaudhry Parvez Elahi is common today, the honor that comes from their home is not found anywhere else,” he added.
On Saturday, Prime Minister Imran Khan had said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif wanted to create chaos in the country.
Addressing to a Tiger Force convention in Islamabad, PM Imran had said that the government was taking measures to bring back Nawaz Sharif, adding that he would be treated as an ordinary prisoner this time. He had maintained that no VIP facilities will be provided to the corrupt politicians in the country now. “Now the opposition would see a different Imran Khan,” the prime minister had added.
