FIA arrests man for harassing woman

The Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Cybercrime Wing has arrested a man for harassing a woman in Karachi.According to sources, the FIA conducted a raid at Karachi’s Gulistan-e-Johar area and apprehended the man after the agency received a complaint against the accused of harassing and blackmailing a woman.
FIA officials said the man was running a mobile phone repair shop.
He used to contact women, offering them marriage proposals and harass them by asking for pictures. The FIA arrested the man and registered a case against him under the cybercrime act.
Earlier, the cybercrime unit of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) had launched a crackdown against an alleged ring of immoral videos’ creators who manage an ‘Indian pornographic website’ from Pakistan. The cybercrime deterrence authority of FIA in its swift action raided a house in Gulshan e Iqbal Town and detained the group allegedly involved in running immoral website.
On September 22, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) claimed to have apprehended four suspects in Karachi for their alleged involvement in child pornography.
As per details, the four new arrests come after two other members of the alleged same-sex abuse ring were arrested over the weekend during different operations in the metropolis.
According to the FIA statement, all six suspects were part of the racket allegedly involved in raping, sodomizing, and filming young boys, creating and circulating pornographic videos, and blackmailing the victims through clips of sexual assault.
According to Faizullah Korejo the additional director at the agency’s cybercrime cell in Karachi, the four accused apprehended by the FIA’s Cyber Crimes Cell.
Korejo further said that the suspects had also developed their own mobile applications and websites specifically aimed at tracking down queer people, including gay, lesbian, and transgender individuals.
He added underage boys and individuals who visited these websites or used the app created by the porn ring were given links to groups on WhatsApp and other social media for fake employment opportunities at call centers.
