DIG Prisons Multan and Dera Ghazi Khan region Mohsin Rafique Chaudhry’s paid annual inspection visit to District Jail Pakpattan. He was greeted and received by senior officers of the jail concerned.
DIG inspected the Guard Parade, inspected outside Jail, warders mess, warder lines, waiting room and meeting shed.
He met the prisoners and their families and inquired about their problems.
Though arrangements were made in a well organized manner but even then he directed to further improve the security, discipline and facilities provided to the inmates of the jail.
He instructed the jail management to start handicraft, tailoring, basic education and beautification courses for women prisoners in jails. The DIG expressed satisfaction over the discipline of women ward key.
It is worth mentioning here that a computer lab was established in the jail the DIG Mohsin alo visited that computer lab set up for prisoners.
Apart for other thing the senior officer also visited Prisoners kitchen, Jail hospital and barracks.
The DIG later heard the problems and complaints of the prisoners and issued instructions on the spot. Mr. Rafique directed the jail management to improve Jail colony and inner Jail green belt.
During his visit DIG also inspected kits of the employees and announced Rs. 1000 prize for each warder participating in the Kit parade and showed good performance. DIG Mohisn also checked the service record of jail employees.
Superintendent Jail Riaz Khan and other officers were also present on the occasion.
