Police purged of politic with provision of resources: CM Says provision of 571 vehicles to improve police’s efficiency, patrolling

Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar on Saturday claimed that the Police Department has been purged of political influence by providing required resources. “Provision of new vehicles will improve efficiency of the police besides further improving the patrolling system of Highway Patrol Police.”
The chief minister said that improving in patrolling system will also help to maintain law and order situation, especially in rural areas.
Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar was speaking at a ceremony held to hand over keys of 571 new vehicles to the police at CM’s Office on Saturday. On the occasion, Punjab Inspector General of Police Inaam Ghani briefed the chief Minister about the police vehicles in details. Usman Buzdar while addressing, said that the government has fulfilled its promise of providing resources to the police department for safeguarding the life and property of the people.
“500 new vehicles will be allotted to the police stations whereas 47 vehicles to the Punjab Highway Patrolling Police and rest of 24 vehicles will be given to the Elite Force.”
The chief minister said that the police department was deprived of required resources as well as politicized in the past. He said that genuine demands of the police have been fulfilled therefore government expect better performance from the department.
He stressed that Punjab police will have to deliver according to the aspirations of the people. Federal ministers Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Asad Umer, Shafqat Mahmood and Fawad Chaudhary, Chief WHIP National Assembly Malik Amir Dogar, Advisor to PM Mirza Shahzad Akbar attended the ceremony.
Provincial Ministers Mian Mahmoodur Rasheed, Dr. Yasmeen Rashid, Mian Aslam Iqbal, Chief Secretary, Chairman P&D, Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Principal Secretary to CM and senior officials were also present on this occasion.
On the other hand, Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar paid tribute to Sajjad Hussain Qaisarani, a Shaheed Jawan of Border Military Police who embraced martyrdom while fighting criminals in Dera Ghazi Khan area.
The CM extended heartfelt sympathies and condoled to the bereaved family of Shaheed Sajjad Hussain Qaisarani.
He said that Martyr Sajjad Hussain Qaisarani confronted the criminal elements bravely. Shaheed sacrificed his life for the motherland by discharging his duties.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar expressed deep sense of sorrow and grief over the loss of precious human lives in a collision between a tractor trolley and coach near Vehari.
CM directed to provide best healthcare and medical facilities to the injured and said that no stone should be left unturned in providing treatment facilities to the injured.
