Pakistan committed to enhancing partnership with Malaysia: Qureshi

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi reiterated on Friday Pakistan’s strong desire to further enhance the strategic-level partnership with Malaysia in the fields of economy, trade, defence, education, and science and technology.
According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, FM Qureshi held a telephonic conversation with his Malaysian counterpart Dato Seri Hishammuddin Tun.
The foreign ministers reaffirmed the excellent ties that exist between the two countries, and emphasised on the importance of close cooperation to overcome challenges brought by Covid-19.
Qureshi appreciated the efforts made by the Government of Malaysia in ensuring the well-being of the Pakistani community residing in Malaysia, according to the communiqué.
Qureshi assured Hishammuddin Tun of extending all possible assistance to the Malaysian nationals residing in Pakistan.
He also wished success to Malaysia for the forthcoming Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit 2020, scheduled to be held in December.
Both the ministers agreed to further strengthen ties and cooperation between the two countries.
