An anti-terrorism court extended on Tuesday interim bail of PML-N leaders – Rana Sanaullah and Capt (r) Safdar until October 12 in the NAB office attack case.
Rana Sanaullah and Capt (retd) Safdar were among dozens of PML-N members booked for the attack. Their interim bail was to expire on Tuesday. The accused appeared in the anti-terrorism court on Tuesday. Saiful Malook Khokhar, Faisal Khokhar and others also had their bail extended in the case. Safdar also moved the court to exempt him from personal appearance, which was granted.
On Aug 11, violence erupted outside the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) office as PML-N workers and police contingents clashed with each other shortly after the arrival of Maryam Nawaz there in a land acquisition case.
The Chuhang Police had incorporated terrorism charges in the FIR, after which the case was transferred to the ATC.
