A man allegedly gunned down his wife and then committed suicide here on Sunday.
According to the police, the incident was occurred in Gulshan-e-Ravi area of the metropolis.
The police said that the man, Kafeel Babar allegedly shot dead her 20-year-old wife Shakeela in their house and then himself committed suicide near Umar Market in Gulshan-e-Ravi.
Initially, it was reported that a man committed suicide while a young girl has also been murdered near the Umar Market but after the preliminary investigation, the police succeeded in resolving the two deaths, saying both were husband and wife.
The reasons for the murder and suicide have not yet been ascertained. The police have shifted the bodies to a morgue and started further investigation.
