Apple has introduced the iPhone Duo, its first foldable smartphone, bringing a new approach to mobile design by combining a tablet-like display with the convenience of a compact phone. The device became available at Apple Store locations worldwide.
The iPhone Duo features a 7.6-inch Super Retina XDR display when fully opened, offering additional space for entertainment, productivity and multitasking.
Its outer screen provides a practical interface for everyday tasks without requiring users to unfold the device.
Apple has incorporated multiple thin display layers and a nano-texture surface to improve viewing comfort and minimise reflections.
The smartphone runs iOS 27, introducing Split View functionality that allows users to operate two applications side by side.
Siri also benefits from the expanded screen, providing more room for interactive AI conversations. Apple Pencil (USB-C) support adds flexibility for note-taking and other creative activities.
For photography and video, the device features a 48-megapixel camera system with 4K recording at up to 120 frames per second. It also includes specialised camera tools for group photos and video calls.
Performance comes from Apple’s A20 Pro processor, supported by an advanced cooling system. A dual-battery configuration, efficient C2 modem and fast charging help support daily use. The iPhone Duo also features built-in eSIM connectivity, removing the requirement for a physical SIM card.
