Naeem Cheema has completed his term as Deputy Consul General at the Pakistani Consulate in New York and has been reassigned to China, where he will soon assume his new responsibilities. A farewell ceremony was organized by the Pakistani community in honor of Naeem Cheema. Chaudhry Aslam Dhillon, Chairman, Pakistan American Association of New York and Karim Watoo host the event. The event was attended by Saeem Khan, Naveed waraich, Rao Shaukat, Azeem M Mian, Mawaz Siddiqui and other prominent personalities of the Pakistani community. A cake was cut and the national anthem of Pakistan was played on the occasion.
In his address, Naeem Cheema said that he could not forget the love of the Pakistani community, the spirit of service has always been and will remain in me. I have never considered myself a bureaucrat or diplomat. On this occasion, Chairman Pani Chaudhry Aslam Dhillon said that the services of Naeem Cheema will always be remembered. The purpose of this function is to encourage officers like him. We hope that copration in consulate and will continue for highlights the soft image of Pakistan in USA.
Earlier Pakistani journalists working in New York also hosted a dinner in honor of outgoing deputy counsel general.
