In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, a delegation comprising Hurriyat leaders Shabbir Ahmad Dar and Muhammad Yousuf Naqash visited the residence of martyr Irfan Ahmad Dar in Sopre to express solidarity with the bereaved family over the death of their son in police custody.
Irfan Ahmad Dar was mercilessly killed by the Indian occupational forces in custody a few days ago. Hurriyat activists Shukran Ahmad and Mubashir Ahmad also accompanied the two leaders.
Condemning the custodial killing of Irfan Ahmad Dar, the Hurriyat leaders said, “The troops get the applause from its masters for killing innocent youth in Kashmir”.
“The troops have let loose the spree of bloodshed as they are encouraged by Delhi and its local faces, turning this whole place into a police state,” the Hurriyat leaders said on the occasion.
Rejecting the police version, the leaders said, “Such dramas are being played in Kashmir for the past 31 years. Police arrest the people from their houses in broad daylight or in the dead of the night in the presence of their families, then torture them to death and throw their bodies on roadsides and hush up these incidents in the much used rather abused parroting that they escaped from police custody.—KMS
