Speaker Punjab Assembly Ch Pervaiz Elahi on Wednesday termed politics as the real source to serve the masses and play due role in the development of country. “We can earn blessings of Allah (SWT) by serving the masses, which not lesson than the worship.”
Ch Pervaiz Elahi was talking to MPA Sajid Ahmad Khan Bhatti, son of late Ahmad Khan Bhatti from Mandi Bahauddin, who along with his brother Wajid Bhatti called on the Punjab Assembly speaker at the Assembly Chambers here on Wednesday.
The PA speaker said that the PML-Q always did politics of principles and preferred national interest to all other interests.
He said that the party will take part in the upcoming local bodies elections in a vigorous manner, adding that the party will uphold its tradition of serving the masses at all level.
He urged the party leaders, especially the workers to start preparations for the elections and mobilize the masses to win their confidence.
On this occasion, acknowledging the invaluable services of the late Ahmad Khan Bhatti for the party, Ch Pervaiz Elahi declared his son Wajid Bhatti as the party candidate for the slot of Tehsil Nazim Phalia in the next local bodies elections.
He said that Wajid Bhatti will be Pakistan Muslim League (PML) candidate for the slot of Tehsil Nazim Phalia and directed him to start work for activating the party in the district. “You should strive hard to earn distinction and support like your father Ahmad Khan Bhatti in the field of social services and work hard day and night for resolution of the people problems”, he added.
On the occasion, Wajid Bhatti expressed gratitude to Speaker Punjab Assembly Ch Pervaiz Elahi for posing trust in him and said that his family has all along been grateful to Chaudhry Sahibaan and will continue to remain so.
He pledged that he will continue social services mission like his late father.
