Srinagar

In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) has called for a protest strike on Wednesday against killing of three innocent labourers from Rajouri including a young boy in a fake encounter by Indian troops in Shopian on 18th July, this year.
The APHC spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar termed the killing of the labourers as a barbaric and heinous act and demanded a probe by an international investigation agency into the killing.
He also urged the people of Jammu region including Rajouri, Poonch, Kishtwar, Doda, Udhampure and Ramban districts to take to streets against such heinous crimes perpetrated by the Indian troops and authorities. He also expressed solidarity with the victim families and paid rich tributes to the martyrs.
The spokesman, while hailing people for their commitment and matchless sacrifices, said that observing India’s Independence Day on 15th August as a Black Day by the Kashmiris conveyed a loud and clear message to India that Kashmiris would never accept Indian hegemony and would continue their struggle for right to self-determination despite New Delhi’s brutal policies and state terrorism.
He said that Jammu and Kashmir was an internationally recognised disputed territory and India had to shun its despotic, rigid and communal attitude and give Kashmiris their political right. He also urged the United Nations, Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch to send their teams to Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir to monitor the worst situation people are facing because of being the world highest militarized zone.
The spokesman also demanded immediate release of all political prisoners including Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Masarrat Aalam Butt, Muhammad Yasin Malik, Aasiya Andrabi, Fehmeeda Sofi, Naheda Nasreen, Dr Hameed, Maulana Mushtaq Veeri, Farooq Ahmad Tawheedi, Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Farooq Ahmad Dar, Ameer Hamza, Altaf Ahmad Shah, Muhammad Aiyaz Akbar, Peer Saifullah, Merajudin Kalwal and Maulana Barkati languishing in different jails of India and the occupied territory.—KMS
