99 new Corona cases detected, no death reported

Fortunately, no death stemming from Coronavirus reported on Saturday, however 220 new cases emerged when 8,695 tests were conducted.

This was stated by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah in a statement issued here from CM House on Saturday. Shah said that fortunately no death was reported on Saturday.

He added that till last Friday the number death and was 4,453.  Mr. Shah said that 8,695 samples were tested which detected 220 cases that constituted 2.5 percent current detection rate.

He added that so far 3,136,213 tests have been conducted against which 261,178 cases were diagnosed, of them 96.7 percent or 252,674 patients have recovered, including 49 overnight.

The Chief Minister said that currently 4,051 patients were under treatment, of them 3,757 were in home isolation, 10 at isolation centers and 284 at different hospitals.

He added that the condition of 255 patients was stated to be critical, including 41 shifted to ventilators.

According to the statement, out of 220 new cases, 99 have been detected from Karachi, including 61 from East, 12 South, Korangi and Malir 9 each, 6 Central and 2 West.

Larkana and Matiari have 15 each, Hyderabad 14, Badin 8, Mirpurkhas and Tando Muhammad Khan 7 each, Jacobabad and Thatta 6 each, Ghotki 5, Jamshoro and Khairpur 4 each, Kamber, Sujawal, TandoAllahyar and Nausheroferoze 3 each, Umerkot 2 and Shaheed Benazirabad 1. The chief minister urged people of the province to follow SOPs.
