As the Pakistan Army led Security Forces continued hunt for the foreign terrorists, at least nine more Khwarjis were gunned down in a couple of Intelligence Based Operations (IBOs) conducted in the North Waziristan tribal district Saturday evening.
The first operation was conducted based on intelligence reports in Dosalli North Waziristan Six Khwarij were killed during the engagement, while two others were apprehended. The second Intelligence-Based Operation conducted in Esham North Waziristan where after an intense exchange of fire, three Khwarij were mowed down while two others sustained injuries.
“On 11 January 2025 evening Nine Khwarij were sent to hell in two separate engagements in North Waziristan District. An intelligence based operation was conducted by the Security Forces in general area Dosalli, on the reported presence of Khwarij. During the conduct of operation, own troops effectively engaged the Khwarij location and resultantly, six Khwarij were sent to hell, while two Khwarij were apprehended”. Says the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) communiqué issued on Sunday.
According to the Army’s media wing another intelligence based operation was conducted in general area Esham, North Waziristan District. After intense fire exchange, three Khwarij were neutralized by security forces, while two Khwarij got injured.
It said Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from killed Khwarij, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against the security forces as well as target killing of innocent civilians.
Sanitization operations are being conducted to eliminate any other Khwarij found in the area, as security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe-out the menace of terrorism from the country. The ISPR concluded.
